MPC’s Mission Statement

Under the authority of Scripture and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we glorify God by continually growing disciples who share the grace and truth of Jesus Christ and demonstrate God’s love in all they do. (April 2014)

MPC’s Passion

Our passion is to:
Live out the Great Commission
to make disciples who are fully mature in Christ
(Matthew 28:18, Colossians 1:28).
Obey the Great Commandment
to love God and love others as we love ourselves
(Matthew 22:37-39).
Join Christ in the work He is already doing
in our area and around the world.
Make our first priority to be an outpost
for the gospel locally and globally.
Focus its energies, resources, and attention on
serving Christ in the ways and in the places He has called us.

What we believe

MPC takes great joy in proclaiming the good news that God came to us in Jesus to break the power of sin and death over our lives. Because of Jesus, we can live in right relationship with God and with those around us. We are forgiven and we can walk in newness of life. Alleluia! In grateful response to what God has done for us, we seek to live as faithful followers of Jesus, looking to Him as our teacher, model and friend.
We take the Bible very seriously at MPC, seeking not only to understand the Word but to stand under it in faithful obedience. our goal in preaching and teaching is to “present every believer mature in Christ” (Col 1:28).
MPC has a missional focus: we exist not only to support and encourage one another but to serve those beyond the walls of the church, joining God in his mission to reach the lost. At MPC, every member has a part to play in that mission. We are effective in so far as we allow the Spirit of God to empower us.
Believing that everyone has been called and ordained by God by virtue of their baptism, we seek to equip every member for their ministry, whatever it may be. at MPC every member is a minister.

What to expect

At MPC you can expect to find a community of believers that are “authentic, prayerful and passionate” we offer two distinctly different worship services.
Our 9:15am service with a traditional flavor, blends our heritage with today’s expression of praise through hymns, worship songs, drama and art. The music is led by the MPC choir, soloists, and instrumentalists directed by Janet Coe
Our 11:00am service is casual, high energy,  and media rich with music led by worship leader Jim Beirne and the MPC 2nd service band. This worship arts team uses a variety of mediums including dance and drama.
Whatever your style you will find great teaching, passionate worship, and authentic relationships at both services. We offer many classes and bible studies sunday morning as well as during the week. Our students 6:12 (ministry to students 6th through 12th grade) meet on sunday evenings and also host several seasonal bible studies. We offer sunday school for kids k-5th grade as well as full service nursery during both services. When you arrive check out our connection center in the main lobby for more information about MPC.
